Ekta, born and brought up in Delhi had the quintessential upbringing of a Delhite. Where she was different was in her diligent pursuit of small things creative and carried within her a streak of rebellion that was to find expression in later years in multiple ways. After completing her schooling from Springdales and graduation from St. Stephens, Ekta went on to pursue her MBA at Birla Institute of Management Technology. A brief sojourn into the Corporate World, including an overseas stint, she realized that this was not her calling.
She turned an entrepreneur and worked in the area of design and execution of residential real estate development projects. During the course of over a decade, she successfully indulged her creative pursuits with a focus on designing, planning and day to day dealing with workforce on site. The experience and the satisfaction of seeing her ideas concretized into homes was a source of constant motivation. However, the need to express her creativity through another medium was strong and it found expression in her pursuit of writing as a career. Her writing is an extension of her creative instincts where she has gives shape to free flowing thoughts and ideas in a powerful, surrealistic style of writing.
She is also a wild life enthusiast and an avid marathon runner and indulges these passions regularly. Ekta lives in Noida with her husband, Deepak and son, Manas.
